MyHomeFirstCall helps homeowners understand common plumbing problems and seek connections with independent plumbing service providers.
MyHomeFirstCall is a connection and referral service. We do not perform plumbing work, employ plumbers to perform work for homeowners, or enter into the service contract between a homeowner and an independent plumbing provider.
This disclosure explains how service connections may be made, how independent providers relate to MyHomeFirstCall, and how MyHomeFirstCall may be compensated in connection with referrals, calls, leads, or introductions generated through the Site.
1. MyHomeFirstCall Is a Connection and Referral Service
MyHomeFirstCall operates as a connection and referral service designed to help homeowners seeking plumbing assistance connect with independent service providers that may serve their area.
MyHomeFirstCall does not itself inspect, diagnose, repair, install, replace, maintain, or otherwise perform plumbing services at your property.
When you use MyHomeFirstCall to seek plumbing assistance, our role is generally limited to providing information and facilitating or helping facilitate a connection with an independent provider or service network.
2. Independent Service Providers
Plumbing services are provided by independent third-party service providers.
Independent providers are separate businesses and are not employees of MyHomeFirstCall. Unless expressly stated otherwise, they are not agents, partners, joint venturers, or representatives of MyHomeFirstCall.
The independent provider is responsible for evaluating your plumbing problem, determining what work may be appropriate, explaining available options, providing estimates or pricing, scheduling the work, obtaining permits where required, supplying labor and materials, performing the service, and addressing warranties, workmanship, billing, or other matters relating to the services it provides.
If you decide to hire a provider, the agreement for plumbing services is ordinarily between you and that provider.
3. How Service Connections May Be Made
A service request or telephone call initiated through MyHomeFirstCall may be connected directly to an independent provider or may be processed, routed, or delivered through a service-network, referral, telecommunications, lead-routing, or technology partner.
The specific connection method may depend on the systems and commercial relationships in use at the time of your request.
MyHomeFirstCall does not guarantee that every request will result in a connection, that a particular provider will receive your request, or that a provider will be available at the time you seek service.
4. How Providers or Networks May Be Selected
The provider or service network that receives a request may be affected by factors such as your geographic location, the type of plumbing problem or service requested, provider availability, operating hours, network coverage, service capacity, routing rules, network participation, and commercial relationships.
A connection through MyHomeFirstCall does not necessarily mean that the provider is the closest provider, lowest-priced provider, highest-rated provider, or only provider available to you.
You remain free to seek additional providers, estimates, information, or alternatives before deciding whether to authorize service.
5. Referral Relationships and Compensation
MyHomeFirstCall may have commercial relationships with independent service providers, service networks, referral partners, lead platforms, telecommunications providers, technology companies, or other businesses involved in connecting consumers with service providers.
MyHomeFirstCall may receive compensation in connection with calls, leads, referrals, introductions, or other service connections generated through the Site.
Depending on the applicable arrangement, compensation may be based on whether a call, lead, or request satisfies qualification or acceptance criteria. Compensation may be earned even if you ultimately decide not to hire the provider that receives the connection.
Commercial relationships may be one of the factors affecting which provider, service network, or referral partner receives a particular request.
6. Compensation and Provider Charges
Compensation that MyHomeFirstCall may receive from independent service providers, service networks, referral partners, or other businesses in connection with calls, leads, referrals, or introductions is separate from the amounts an independent service provider may charge you for plumbing services.
Independent service providers determine their own service prices, diagnostic charges, trip charges, estimates, payment terms, financing terms, and other charges relating to the services they provide.
7. Provider Pricing and Service Terms
MyHomeFirstCall does not set or control the prices charged by independent service providers.
Before authorizing work, you should review the provider’s proposed scope of work, pricing, estimates, payment requirements, warranties, cancellation policies, and any other terms that are important to you.
Any dispute concerning charges, workmanship, scheduling, warranties, or the actual plumbing work should ordinarily be addressed directly with the independent provider that performed or agreed to perform the service.
8. Provider Qualifications, Licensing, and Insurance
Independent service providers are responsible for maintaining licenses, registrations, permits, insurance, and other qualifications required for the services they perform under applicable law.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, MyHomeFirstCall does not independently guarantee a provider’s licensing status, insurance coverage, qualifications, legal compliance, workmanship, or service results.
Homeowners may independently verify licensing, insurance, credentials, references, warranties, and other information before hiring a provider.
9. No Guarantee of Availability or Results
MyHomeFirstCall does not guarantee that an independent provider will be available in your area, accept your request, contact you, provide an estimate, schedule service, arrive within a particular period, or complete a particular repair.
MyHomeFirstCall also does not guarantee a specific price, diagnosis, service result, workmanship outcome, warranty, or resolution of a plumbing problem.
Actual services are provided and controlled by the independent provider.
10. Your Choice of Provider
You are not required to hire a service provider merely because you were connected with that provider through MyHomeFirstCall.
You may ask questions, request an estimate, compare alternatives, verify qualifications, or choose another provider before authorizing work.
A referral or connection through MyHomeFirstCall does not limit your ability to select another service provider.
11. Information Shared to Facilitate a Connection
If you initiate a service request or connection, information reasonably necessary to facilitate that request may be provided to an independent service provider, service network, referral partner, or technology provider involved in processing or routing the connection.
The collection, use, and disclosure of personal information are described in the MyHomeFirstCall Privacy Policy.
Independent providers and other third parties may also maintain their own privacy practices.
12. Calls and Connection Technology
Telephone calls initiated through numbers displayed on the Site may, depending on the systems in use, be routed or processed through telecommunications, call-tracking, attribution, referral, or service-network technology.
Call-related information may be used for purposes such as routing, qualification, attribution, fraud prevention, reporting, quality control, or management of referral relationships where applicable.
If calls are monitored or recorded, any notice or consent required by applicable law will be provided through the applicable call process or another appropriate mechanism.
13. Commercial Relationships Do Not Create a Plumbing-Service Relationship With MyHomeFirstCall
The fact that MyHomeFirstCall may receive compensation from a provider, network, or referral partner does not make MyHomeFirstCall the provider of the underlying plumbing service.
MyHomeFirstCall’s commercial relationship with a provider or network does not transfer responsibility for the provider’s diagnosis, recommendations, estimates, pricing, scheduling, workmanship, materials, warranties, or other service obligations to MyHomeFirstCall.
The independent provider remains responsible for the services it agrees to perform.
14. Changes to This Disclosure
